Frequently Asked Questions

Your feedback drives us. We’re always listening — share your thoughts with us at info@joyned.at

Does MU16 run 16 channels at both 48 and 96 KHz?

Yes

Does the MU16 require a driver?

No, MU16 is class compliant and will work on macOS, Windows and iOS devices.

How many Milan devices can the MU16 receive audio from?

You can use the 4 input streams to receive from 4 individual Milan devices on the network.

Is MU16 powered by PoE?

MU16 is powered by USB only and is not receiving PoE.

The LED is blinking, what is wrong?

A blinking green LED indicates that the USB and Milan sample rates are not identical, in which situation the MU16 will also mute. Either change the Milan network sample rate or the computer/project sample rate.

I have no audio, what is wrong?

Muted audio may indicate that the USB and Milan sample rates are not identical, in which situation the MU16 LED will also blink. Either change the Milan network sample rate or the computer/project sample rate.

Does MU16 also feature a standard ethernet connection in order to control the Milan network?

Currently not, you will need an extra ethernet connection from you computer to the Milan network to do so.

Does MU16 support Android?

MU16 is a class compliant audio interface and connects to all devices that supports that. On Android, we unfortunately see a less structured support for external audio interfaces, which means that it may not work. Therefore we do not officially support for Android. Tests and potential work arounds on an individual basis is expected and we wold love to hear your findings.

Does MU16 support Windows 10?

Microsoft ended free, standard support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025 and therefore we are not officially testing on Windows 10 but there should be no reason why MU16 wouldn't work there.

What products on the market support Milan?
